Watch One Full Cycle
Before crossing an unfamiliar laser, pause in a safe position and watch it switch on and off once. The visual rhythm becomes easier to judge after a complete cycle. Entering immediately often means meeting the active phase halfway through the crossing.
Wait Away From the Edge
Stand a small distance back from the beam. Waiting directly beside it leaves no room for an accidental input. A short approach lane lets you build the exact amount of speed needed when the safe window begins.
Cross Perpendicularly
Whenever possible, cross at a right angle. Diagonal movement keeps the character inside the danger area for longer. A straight crossing is easier to time and easier to repeat if the route requires another pass later.
Combine Timing With Route Memory
Later levels use several hazards close together. Treat them as separate timing problems. Clear one beam, settle into the next safe pocket, then read the following cycle. Trying to cross an entire sequence in one uncontrolled burst usually costs more time than it saves.
